Project Description

The project aims to investigate children with multiple complex traumas experiencing deficits in the social domain resulting from their psychosocial development. The study focuses on atypical developmental trajectories based on emotional processes and their impact on expectation processes and individual learning development. Additionally, the research aims to explore alterations in evaluation processes among children subjected to early and chronic traumatization. The objective is to gain a better understanding of the processing of expectations and evaluations of rewards, as well as their effect on children’s behavior. The study's participants consist of children with multiple complex traumas characterized by frequent relationship ruptures with primary caregivers and early aversive experiences. It is hypothesized that multiply complex traumatized children exhibit heightened expectation anxiety and emotional avoidance, influencing their reward processing, psychosocial experiences, and behavior. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the genesis of psychological developmental disorders, crucial for the development of targeted prevention programs for children with multiple complex traumas.
