KIPU e. V.

KIPU e. V. is a non-profit association. It focuses on early childhood and promotes training, further training and advanced studies in the field of child, youth and family welfare especially, in addition to supporting research and development primarily in the psychology, pedagogy and health-care professions. It strives to test and evaluate new ways of sharing and exchanging on scientific and practice-driven levels.

The association’s objective is to achieve these aims in close cooperation with the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin (IPU) and other national and international institutions by means of

• Conceiving, testing and implementing model and development projects; the aim especially being to give students the opportunity to conceive and test innovate projects in the psychosocial field of work
• Psychosocial counselling, therapy, supervision and prevention
• Individual casework support and early intervention
• Scientific monitoring and research
• Conducting of specialist scientific conferences and symposia
• Concept development and implementation of training, further training and advanced studies especially to be taken parallel to work, in cooperation with other institutions and supporting bodies
• Advance the purposes and aims of the university, and specifically the promoting of student training and further training
• Guidance, monitoring and support of voluntary team members, and especially students
• Establishment of innovative parent-child support facilities and day-care centres

As an association, KIPU e. V. works together with the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin (IPU Berlin) to promote and advance wide-ranging linkages between teaching, practice and research. The intention is for our students to have the opportunity to test their abilities if a field of practice and, doing so, to be supervised and supported voluntary by full-time lecturing staff at the IPU.
