To ensure that your student journey at the IPU Berlin goes well, we offer a range of services and advice. Among other things, we can support you with prospects for your professional career after your studies or with your Erasmus+ exchange abroad.

Student counseling

For all questions concerning your studies

 

The Office for Studies and Teaching is the point of contact for interested parties, students and lecturers. We are available to answer administrative questions relating to your (future) studies at the IPU.
You can contact us in person or by telephone during the individual office hours indicated.
You can request all certificates (enrolment/exmatriculation certificates, transcripts, study progress certificates, etc.) at any time by e-mail from the contact person responsible for your degree program.

As part of the DAAD project FiT – Förderung internationaler Talente, the IPU Berlin offers extracurricular certification courses each semester to support international (psychology) students and those interested in their studies and prepare them for the German job market.

Student mentoring

 

The program supports students during their first months of study. Experienced students help new students by providing advice in tandem or in groups on the following topics and with the following goals:

 

  • Orientation at the IPU and in your studies: course of studies, places, people, groups and committees
  • Events and self-organized studying, “alone” or in learning groups
  • Study and examination achievements
  • Study and career goals
  • Interests and abilities
  • Networks and contacts
  • Reasons for studying, fears about studying

Research day for students

Short presentations by scientists and “contact exchange”

 

Once a year, always on a Friday morning in mid-January, at the IPU Berlin.

 

How students can make use of the day and what they can talk about with the scientists:

 

  • get to know the IPU's current research projects
  • exchange ideas with (former) students about their theses
  • write their own theses in the projects
  • complete research internships, participate in research projects
  • participate as a subject in experiments and surveys
  • find out about opportunities for doctoral studies after graduation
