Research focus

In my research, I am investigating longitudinal correlations between internalizing symptoms and facets of self-regulation from childhood to young adulthood as part of the DFG-funded PIER study. In addition, I am interested in intrapsychic conflicts and psychological structure in late adolescence and young adulthood, and I investigate, for example, how these are related to early experiences of child abuse or other critical life events. In doing so, I use instruments of operationalized psychodynamic diagnostics and validate them in adolescent samples.
