Information session: the Study and practice of psychology
Prospective students can learn more about the IPU Berlin in Hamburg on 27 February 2026. Prof. Bernd Ahrbeck will not only provide information about studying at the psychoanalytic university, but will also explain what it is like to work as a psychotherapist and how this work benefits from the close integration of theory and practice in the broad-based psychology program at the IPU.
IPU Berlin offers a unique profile for studying psychology. Our bachelor's and master's programs prepare students for their professional careers in a practical and realistic manner. Before starting a study program, many questions arise. IPU Berlin regularly hosts information evenings in locations outside Berlin. We invite all interested parties to meet our professors in person.

Prof. Bernd Ahrbeck warmly welcomes you in Hamburg. He teaches psychoanalytic pedagogy at the IPU Berlin. He is the author of numerous books on pedagogical, clinical, and cultural-theoretical issues. In addition to his academic work, he also works as a psychoanalyst and training analyst in Hamburg.
