Summer School: Social Trauma in Changing Societies (STICS)

IPU Berlin hosts international Summer School for the 8th time

This year’s Summer School is special. It deals with the subject of social trauma.

The summer school lasts for 9 days: On 8 days, you will take classes. September 24th will be a recreational day with an optional cultural programme.

Classes cover an interdisciplinary approach on Social Trauma, from Memory Studies, Developmental, Clinical and Social Psychology, Research Methodology and Ethics to Cultural Theory.

Students, who have ongoing research projects, will have the opportunity to be supervised. If you are interested in this service, please prepare a subject related presentation of 10-15 minutes. After having handed in an essay, reflecting the learning experiences (portfolio), students will receive 5 ECTS credit points and a participation certificate.

Students from the network universities, who successfully completed the summer school/Course Social Trauma, can ask for an accreditation as elective course. Please contact your coordinator.
