Project Description

Since May 2020, krisenchat has been offering children, adolescents and young adults (under 25 years of age) free and confidential psychosocial crisis counseling via chat 24/7. The counseling is provided by volunteer professionals from the fields of psychology, psychotherapy and social work. The research focuses on the composition and the behavior of young people seeking help, as well as their satisfaction with the crisis chat counseling services. Since an increasing number of refugees from Ukraine were seeking psychosocial support from krisenchat, an additional service in Ukrainian and Russian was set up after the start of the invasion of Ukraine – which is the focus of the Krisenchat:Ukraine research project.
