The leadership of the International Psychoanalytic University (IPU) Berlin views its work during the current transitional phase as a collaborative team effort. Strategic development, institutional accreditation, and the establishment of forward-looking priorities are jointly managed by the four members of the university leadership.
Interim President Birgit Stürmer represents the university externally, manages its central governing bodies, and focuses on long-term campus development, academic partnerships, and the support of early-career researchers. As Vice President, Simone Salzer heads the university’s outpatient clinic and oversees teaching and continuing education programs in the field of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. Vice President Thomas Kühn manages organizational and cultural affairs, fosters international networking, and drives the implementation of AI and IT infrastructures in research and teaching. Chancellor Beate Deppe heads the university administration, manages financial and business planning, and represents IPU in all legal and administrative matters. Through this close integration of academic distinction and stable administration, the university leadership ensures both continuity and the dynamic evolution of IPU.
