Together with AMCHA, the IPU Berlin is organizing the lecture series “Confronting transgenerational trauma”.
What makes the concept of transgenerational trauma central to the work of and with the descendants of survivors of collective violence? What can it be used to describe and what gaps does it leave behind? Which topics lead beyond the concept, such as talking about anger, alliances, compassion and solidarity?
Next lecture:
December 12, 2024 – Prof. Dr. Andreas Hamburger: “Regaining the future. Epistemic trust and the scars of history”.
This lecture will be held in German.
The event series is part of our project ‘Hakara – Transgenerational Trauma Encounter’ and is supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.
