Under the umbrella term “Interwoven,” we would like to examine how current theoretical trends—in particular poststructuralism and new materialisms—can challenge, critique, and expand psychoanalytic understandings of the subject. The aim is to bring psychoanalytic, feminist, and ecological perspectives into a fruitful dialogue. Interconnectedness should contribute as a theoretical resource to making the diverse psychological, social, and material dependencies of subjectivity tangible. From there, we are interested in analyzing collectivity. At the same time, we critically question whether the concept of the interwoven subject harbors risks, such as the loss of clear ego boundaries, the affirmation of disorientation, or the theoretical abandonment of psychological mediation.
The conference is open to the public. You can register to attend here. A small conference fee will be charged (€12 regular, €6 reduced). Registration and payment will be handled by Eveeno. We look forward to welcoming you to the IPU in September!

Over the three days, eight panels will address topics such as drive and mediation, collectivity and bodily boundaries, digital reflections and ecological shifts, and epistemological situatedness. On Thursday evening, Dr. Andreas Gehrlach will also talk about technical, subjective, and mythological considerations on the web flaw. On Friday evening, Jandra Böttger, Franziska Haug, and Jody Korbach will jointly examine whether and under what conditions the collective can still be saved.
