This year-long pilot project provides an overview of the specific possibilities offered by graphological assessments in personnel decisions and evaluates examples of their application using an innovative design. The aim is to identify potential specific benefits of graphological assessments for modern professional practice.
Over the past decades, there has been a steady decline in the use of graphological assessments in personnel selection, partly motivated by empirical findings.
In this research project, we first use qualitative interviews and exemplary development processes to investigate whether carefully and rigorously differentiated graphological assessments do not, after all, represent a unique and valuable diagnostic tool in personnel selection. We currently plan to deepen the findings in a follow-up project and replicate them for broader professional groups.
