Film & psychoanalysis in dialogue: Seeing through the eyes of others

Film series organized by the IPU Berlin in cooperation with the Kant Kino Berlin, led by Prof. Andreas Hamburger and Prof. Reinhold Görling. Four films will be shown from May to July including new films from Pedro Almodóvar and Mike Mills.

About the Event

The film series entitled Film and Psychoanalysis in Dialogue: Seeing through the eyes of others addresses intersubjectivity and the search for identity in film. Cinema provides us with a view of our relationship with other people and with the world and therefore also helps us to see how our relationships and encounters can change. Four films from the current Kant Kino lineup were selected for this series. They all have to do with how interwoven we are with each other through our thoughts and feelings and why it is impossible to find ourselves without one another.
