Legal Work Regulations
- As an EU citizen plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, you are treated equally to German students—you may work a maximum of 20 hours per week during the semester. Outside the lecture period (semester breaks), there are no restrictions.
- As non EU citizen, special work-hour limits apply to you (e.g., 140 days/year).
