Teaching Focus

I lecture in several fields, such as clinical psychoanalysis/psychology, psychoanalytic subject theory and cultural studies. In my courses I emphasize psychoanalytic theory in regard to historical aspects of concept development and implications for sociological perspectives.

Research Focus

In regard to my occupation as a research assistant and my PhD-project I am primarily deal-ing with psychoanalytic-oriented social research, qualitative research (in particular »tiefenhermeneutik«, engl. psychoanalytically grounded hermeneutics), single case research and young adults/emerging adulthood. This array of approaches is driven by a transdiscipli-nary idea to combine psychoanalysis with sociological perspectives. Registered at the Go-the-Universität Frankfurt am Main, my PhD-project goes by the name »Übergangsszenarien zwischen Bildung und Beruf in der Spätmoderne. Eine qualitativ-rekonstruktive Analyse an-hand von Forschungsinterviews« [engl. »Transitional Scenarios from Education to Occupa-tion. A Qualitative-Reconstructive Study Based on Research Interviews«], under supervision of V. King (Inst. f. Soziologie/Goethe-Univ. & Sigmund-Freud-Institut, Frankfurt/M.) and B. Gerisch (IPU Berlin).
