Teaching Focus

In the Bachelor of Science Psychology course I teach within "Module 7 Foundations of Clinical Psychology". In the course „Exercise with lecture/Case presentations“ I impart concepts, theories, models and research methods of clinical psychology. A deeper understanding is developed together with the students. I am also interested in a critical reflection of the material. Furthermore, I teach basic knowledge about specific disorder patterns and patient groups in the field of clinical psychology. In addition to diagnostic and epidemiological aspects, I also examine psychoanalytical and behavioral models of disorders in depth with the students.

Research Focus

My research focuses on the empirical assessment of the efficacy of psychodynamic therapies in adulthood and later adulthood. I presently focus on anxiety disorders. I am currently working in the project "Psychodynamic Psychotherapy of Patients from the Age of 60 with Generalized Anxiety Disorder" (Project Head: Prof. Dr. Simone Salzer).
