MA Interdisciplinary Psychosis Therapy

Multi-Professional Work for People with Psychoses

(formerly Integrated Care of Psychotically Ill Persons)
The therapy of people with psychoses and complex mental disorders continues to represent a major challenge for all those involved. While there is a wide range of counselling, support and therapeutic options available, they are seldom systematically interconnected with each other in practice. When the various perspectives and approaches are combined, a complex treatment setting emerges in which the cooperative work of the team and the cooperative work with the persons affected and their environment can form the basis for gains in the quality of life in the lives of persons with psychoses. In this way, the focus is then on treatment that is adapted to the requirements and cross-sectoral, as is also currently under discussion in the healthcare policy field.
Advanced studies course also for professional nursing/care staff
Since it began in the 2013 summer semester, the Master study course has provided scientifically sound and practice-related responses to these challenges. Much of the content conveyed here has now also been taken up by the German Federal Cabinet in its draft legislation (German Law for the Further Development of the Provision and Payment for Psychiatric and Psychosomatic Services – PsychVVG). The current decision by the German Federal Cabinet can be read under www.bundesgesundheitsministerium.de (press release by the German Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) dated 3.8.2016).

The study course has been accredited by the accreditation body ACQUIN® (Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute).
