Foundation to Promote University Psychoanalysis Announces Doctoral Scholarships

Once again this year, the Foundation to Promote University Psychoanalysis is granting doctoral scholarships to support the next generation of scholars. There are three scholarships available, two of which allow simultaneous support for doctoral candidates pursuing psychotherapy training.

In addition to a »conventional« doctoral scholarship focusing on psychoanalytic research, the foundation is offering two dual scholarships. These scholarships aim to support outstanding graduates with a Master's degree in Psychology who wish to undertake a doctoral program concurrently with psychoanalytic psychotherapy training and who want to gain expertise in Analytical Psychotherapy as well as Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. This opportunity is open to graduates who, under the transitional regulation, must complete their psychotherapy training no later than 2032.

Since 2017, the Foundation to Promote University Psychoanalysis has been supporting dissertation projects that delve into psychoanalytic questions. In 2023, the foundation expanded its support for dissertation projects to include the dual scholarship.

The deadline for applications is on 15 April 2024.
