Since 2013, the IPU Berlin has participated in the DAAD program PROMOS. This program is intended to increase the mobility of IPU students in non-European countries and provides support for practical-training related stays by students in the form of a partial scholarship or a grant for the travel costs worldwide.
Any student who is enrolled at the IPU Berlin at the point in time of the planned support may apply for such support.
In this respect, the IPU Berlin supports its internationalization strategy especially with stays for internship purposes in Israel, South Africa, Canada, the USA, China and Australia. A list of the institutions where IPU students have done their internships to date can be viewed in the Student and Teaching Office.
First, the International Office accepts the applications and assesses the applicants' formal eligibility for funding. Afterwards, the IPU's Commission of International Affairs distributes the scholarships primaily on the basis of GPA and motivation.
The application deadline is always on 30 November for the first half of the following year (funding period starts between 01.01. and 30.06) and on 30 April for the second half (funding period starts between 01.07 and 31.12.).
