Internships outside Europe with PROMOS

Scholarships to support an internship in non-European countries

Since 2013, the IPU Berlin has participated in the DAAD program PROMOS. This program is intended to increase the mobility of IPU students in non-European countries and provides support for practical-training related stays by students in the form of a partial scholarship or a grant for the travel costs worldwide.

Which Services comprise the funding?

In the framework of PROMOS, internships abroad between 6 weeks and 6 months are eligible for funding. The financial support consists of a country specific scholarship and a lump sum for travel costs. Current funding rates can be found here (in German only).

Who can apply?

Any student who is enrolled at the IPU Berlin at the point in time of the planned support may apply for such support.

In this respect, the IPU Berlin supports its internationalization strategy especially with stays for internship purposes in Israel, South Africa, Canada, the USA, China and Australia. A list of the institutions where IPU students have done their internships to date can be viewed in the Student and Teaching Office.

Which documents have to be submitted?
