Registrations for the winter semester 2025/26 are open!

As part of the DAAD and BMBF campus initiative to promote international specialists, the IPU Berlin will be offering courses in German as a foreign language with additional subject-specific psychology materials for the first time from the winter semester 2024/25 to acquire the language skills of course levels B1 through C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The International Office of IPU Berlin is currently accepting applications for scholarships within the framework of the DAAD-funded PROMOS program.

 

Eligible stays abroad (between July 1 – December 31, 2025):

  • Internships: up to 2 months

  • Study stays: up to 4 months (e.g. regular study abroad or research stays for writing a thesis or academic paper)

 

Funding includes:

  • Partial scholarship: country-dependent, between €300 and €500/month

  • Travel allowance: country-dependent, between €250 and €3,000

 

Eligibility criteria:

The applications received will be reviewed by the International Commission and awarded on a priority basis according to the criteria of grade point average and motivation.

Both students in undergraduate (Bachelor's) and postgraduate (Master's) programmes can be supported. Students must be enrolled in a regular course of study with the aim of obtaining one of the above degrees.

  • Completed application form

  • Motivation letter (max. 1 page)

  • CV (Curriculum Vitae)

  • Transcript of records (and final degree certificate, if applicable)

Announcements for Researchers and Teaching Staff

Both programs are aimed at doctoral candidates and postdocs. The application process is entirely through the DAAD portal.
