On Wednesday 22.08.2012 at 20.00, the IPU is holding an information event on the newly established Doctoral study course. The IPU has arranged a cooperation agreement with Humboldt University (Institute for Rehabilitation Sciences) on the Doctoral course, with the intention of accompanying and supporting up-and-coming scientists with their PhD projects in the fields of psychodynamic psychotherapy/clinical psychology or psychoanalytical pedagogy. Furthermore, dissertation projects in other psychology and social sciences subject areas will also be supervised.
The Doctoral study course officially commences at the beginning of the coming 2012-2013 winter semester. It will be offered in the form of regular seminars and doctoral colloquia. In comparison to other PhD courses, the students will require a shorter amount of time to complete the IPU Doctoral study course. The seminars will be arranged in blocks in order to also give external PhD students the opportunity to attend the course regularly. The lecture time of approximately three semester periods per week will probably be spread over three weekends per semester.
In order to provide professional supervision for the Doctoral study course with its two initial study directions, the IPU will appoint a professor whose tasks include the programme development, the organisation and the supervision of the study course.
The evening information event is being held in the premises of the IPU Berlin, Stromstr. 2, 10555 Berlin. All those interested are warmly invited to attend.
