Psychodynamic Psychosis Therapy

Curricular Advanced Training in Psychodynamic Psychosis Psychotherapy starting in January 2020

Starting in January 2020, the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin, together with the Psychiatric University Clinic of the Charité in St. Hedwig Hospital, will offer a curricular advanced training in depth-psychological and psychoanalytical psychotherapy for people with psychotic diseases. The advanced training will be certified by the Dachverband Deutschsprachiger Psychosen Psychotherapie (DDPP e. V.).

The curriculum conveys theoretical knowledge, a specific psychotherapeutic attitude, the work with countertransference and special technical interventions which have proven to be central and significant in the treatment of schizophrenic, schizoaffective and bipolar disorders.

The curriculum is an offer for additional qualification for medical and psychological psychotherapists as well as an opportunity for further professional groups working with people with psychoses. The contents of the workshops are interrelated, therefore we suggest following the recommendation for the order of dates.

On weekends, theoretical inputs and the discussion of case reports as well as topic-related group work alternate with the discussion of case material brought along by the participants themselves, which can also be media-supported.

The knowledge transfer is supplemented by online material and an interactive learning platform. The curricular advanced training is certified by the DDPP e.V. CME points are applied for at the Medical Chamber Berlin.
