Action-Oriented Wise Interventions (WISENT)

Since 01/2018 / Project Head: Professor Dr. Konrad Schnabel

Project Description

This research project is assessing action-oriented intervention approaches, termed wise interventions, developed in the field of social psychology. Initially, effects are being examined that provide an affirmation of personal values. The intention with this is to confirm already available findings. In addition, innovative action-oriented interventions are being analysed that are based on the theory and practice of the psychodrama and integrate roleplays, for instance, as well as specialised feedback methods.

Among others, the study participants include refugees, as well as people working voluntarily with refugees. The aim of the study is to develop brief interventions that strengthen the activities and personal responsibility when dealing with challenges and foster the social participation of the various players. Study participation can occur in German and in English.
