No, it is not possible to automatically forward the IPU emails to external addresses.
No, access to the email program is only possible via IMAP4.
In order to change your password, please use the corresponding option provided in the CampusNet or Webmailer. Brief instructions available here.
Your IPU password is the central password, for which reason special security measures are required. Passwords need to have at least eight characters and contain at least one lower case letter, one upper case letter and one special character (but not a German Umlaut - ö, ä, ü) or a number. If you have problems thinking out and remembering a secure password, perhaps the following tips will help: Your cat's name is "Felix" and it was born in 2005. Your password then becomes "Fe2005l1x" when you place the numbers for the year between the syllables and replace the "i" with a "1". Or if you love, say, German "Knödel" dumplings, then try "2Kn0:del". Please remember not to use German Umlauts (ö, ä, ü) in your password for now as this can cause problems with the printing system.
The IPU has a subscription to the PEP-Web full texts. Thus access is only possible on computers within the IPU. However, using a so-called VPN connection, you can connect your computer at home with the IPU and authenticate it with the PEP-Web as a computer from the IPU network. In order to do so, you need to set up the VPN-connection once and then establish the connection with the IPU VPN each time in order to use the PEP-Web. You disconnect the connection when you are finished. Detailed instructions for Windows XP, Windows Vista/Windows 7 and Mac OS X are available in the VPN section. When using Safari, please note: Apparently the PEP-Web does not function reliably with Safari. Please use a different browser as required.
