Prof. Dr. Christa Rohde-Dachser is a sociologist, psychoanalyst and Professor Emeritus for Psychoanalysis at the Goethe University Frankfurt. She has become renowned especially for her work in the field of borderline personality disorders and the psychoanalysis of gender differences. In 2009, together with Prof. Dr. Jürgen Körner, she founded the IPU Berlin, Germany's first psychoanalytical university.
During her scientific career extending over many years, Professor Rohde-Dachser has had work published on a range of subjects, which would be enough to fill a complete book by itself. A lecture from this highly reputed scientist, for whom psychoanalysis has always been a subject very close to her heart, can be enjoyed on the evening of 3 May 2012 when she will talk on "What Changes and What Remains. On the Permanence of Promise". This is being held in the context of the IPU's "Pathologies of the Modern Age – Certitude as Fiction" public lecture series. All those interested are warmly invited to attend the talk and the pleasant get-together following it.
All of the lectures begin at 20.00 CET and are held in the Large Lecture Hall at the IPU, Stromstraße 2, 10555 Berlin, on the third floor. There is an admission fee of €5. Students from Berlin's universities and third level institutes, as well as members of the IPU's Sponsors and Fundraisers Association are admitted free-of-charge.
